Mr. Shevin is a member of the NORML Legal Committee, dedicated to the reform or marijuana laws. Since the passage of Proposition 215, The Compassionate Use Act, Mr. Shevin has become an outspoken advocate against the prosecution of sick people. Mr. Shevin has defended hundreds of medical marijuana cases throughout California, with the vast majority resulting in complete dismissal.

Mr. Shevin has filed motions in Federal Court in an attempt to prevent Federal interference with the Compassionate Use Act. Mr. Shevin has extensive knowledge of cannabis yield ratios, medical efficacy of marijuana, in addition to medical marijuana experts who testify on issues of dosage and government cultivation guidelines.
